games are supposed to be entertainment. Realism is not entertainment. Realism is boring sometimes. Most people play games to escape reality. This is why people said it was boring. But I see what you are saying and I'm not disagreeing with it.
No popcorn, but there were Monsters involved. I know people like you, you call it a movie, but haven't even given it a try yet. The MGS4 I played wasn't a movie, but a great game with an outstanding story. Calling it a movie is just fanboy talk. Oh well.

My first playthrough I clocked about 34 hours actual playtime. Even more on Big Boss Extreme. That's only because I enjoy the stealth elements, and I take advantage of them. Laying still, observing the sentry's patterns, 20 minutes to move 20 feet. I'm Ninja with it.
So much variety in this game it's sick.

I had no idea you could take control of the Mk. II in the mission briefings. Dang, I've played through this game several times and didn't know about most of this stuff.

Yea a week would come and go in no time, but nobody should drop 3 or $400 on a console, and then be expected to go a week or more, several times on occasion, without. I don't see how the xbox has "made a huge chink in the armor" of the Sony brand. Not Yet. If it goes on to sell over 40 million units, then Microsoft will have earned some respect.
